Prepare For Battle


"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - Ephesians 6:12.

Awaken, my friend, to the reality of your life: There's a war waging for your heart and your mind.

You were born into a world at war. There's darkness and there's Light. Death and Life, Good and evil.

I don't want to be overly dramatic.. The world is beautiful! Every day is a blessing. We have so many good gifts from God. We should be people who see the good in EVERY situation. 

The apostle Paul said it this way: "Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Philippians 4:8

But Paul also knew about the battle: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." - Ephesians 6:12.

We can't afford to be naïve about this. Our battle isn't against people, it's spiritual warfare. Between vices and temptations, to apathy and distraction, the enemy doesn't want you to be dangerous for good. He wants you as ineffective as possible.

As Christians we know this beautiful truth: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me."

This is great news! in Christ, you already have victory. You are delivered: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

When you let Jesus fight your battles, you are an overcomer. You've already won because HE'S already won. That's the end of the story!

..Yet here we are. So what now? Live from a place of victory because it's not up to you and how well you fight, but Jesus. 

Nevertheless, we're instructed to prepare for battle! But how? By putting on the whole armor of God daily: The Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Gospel of Peace, Shield of Faith, Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit - never forgetting to pray without ceasing.


Next week we'll go more in depth. It may seem like A LOT but remember this: We don't fight our battles, God does. All we're called to do is put on His armor and stand firm!
